Founded in the Fall of 2003, Pontones Enterprises LLC became an entity in March of 2004. Our main mission is to enhance the boating experience by making boat maintenance easier and less time-consuming. The BilgeWizard^TM is the first in a new line of products from Pontones Enterprises LLC. We chose to introduce the BilgeWizard^TM as our first product for its unique ability to mitigate fuel and water vapors, greatly reducing the amount of cleaning the boat owner has to do. These vapors can cause extensive damage to the boat's hull and stringers over years of use. By reducing them, the BilgeWizard^TM allows the boat owner to enjoy boating for more years with less work.

More than half of the boats used in testing are owned by recreational water skiers. As any water skier or tuber can tell you, excess water is brought into the boat and goes straight to the bilge. These boats were frequently left on a trailer, covered for a week between uses. These owners/testers noticed a significant drop in mildew growth and virtually no fuel smell in the bilge. Even the cup holders on these BilgeWizard^TM   protected boats accumulated no mildew! Further tests have shown this product reduces vapors that are known to damage boat stringers, electrical systems, upholstery and hardware.

Prior to our BilgeWizard^TM venture, we created custom-made boat products for high-end boats, typically made of machined or welded stainless steel. The original BilgeWizard^TM units were created as part of this endeavor, and all of these machined brass units are still in use today by their happy owners.
